Frequently Asked Questions

I'm just a beginner. Are the classes appropriate for me?

YES! Everyone is welcome at our classes. We've had everyone from newbies to wine enthusiasts who have travelled the world's wine regions join our tastings and so far, our survey results say everyone has loved the workshops and learned something new. #humblebrag

How do I get my wine?

Taste along with us from anywhere in the world through the safety of your own computer! You can enjoy all these lively wine classes online. A few days before the tasting begins, we will email you a wine list for you to purchase at your convenience. When the time comes, pop the bottles, pour a glass and get ready for a great time learning about wine!

Should I pair cheeses or have snacks for the tasting?

We love how you think, but preferably not. Unless it’s a food-pairing class (in which we will send the recommended foods ahead of time with the wine list), food pairings aren’t a good idea. We’re aiming for a pure tasting session, and food, with its aromas and flavours will distract you from the tasting.

How should I set up my tasting space? What do I need for a successful tasting?

We will send you a tips sheet a week before the virtual event which will include ways to set up your learning area, and the items you will want to have to maximize the success of your tasting.

What if I miss the tasting? Will there be a replay?

Unfortunately not. Just like tickets to live theatre or a hockey game, we can’t offer recordings or refunds/exchanges. If you find you can’t make it, please feel free to send your spot to a friend.

Can online participants ask questions?

You sure can! Our classes will be held in a private Zoom portal which allows you to type in your questions and comments.
